Rata somajului inregistrat reprezinta raportul dintre numarul somerilor (inregistrati la agentiile pentru ocuparea fortei de munca) si populatia activa civila (someri + populatie ocupata civila, definita conform metodologiei balantei fortei de munca).
Notes:
- Registered unemployment rate: unemployed people registered with the employment agencies (ANOFM) relative to the civilian active population. It is not the ILO unemployment rate from the labour force survey.
- For 1991–1996 INS gives Bucharest twice: 'Municipiul Bucuresti' and 'Mun. Bucuresti - incl. SAI' (including the Ilfov Agricultural Sector). Ilfov county appears separately from 1997. Comparisons across that boundary are not on the same territory.
- INS also publishes the total ('Total' option) for 'Sexe', 'Macroregiuni, regiuni de dezvoltare si judete'; our download does not include it. For an average, a rate or an index the total is not the sum of the values, so the site does not compute it. INS's own totals for the main indicator are shown on the comparison and county pages.
